Acceptance of terms

By downloading or using QR Nova ("the app"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

Licence to use the app

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use QR Nova on Android devices you own or control, for personal or business purposes, in line with these Terms and the Google Play Terms of Service.

Your codes and content

You own the QR codes and barcodes you create, and you may use, print and distribute them freely, including commercially. You're responsible for what you encode and share. Don't use QR Nova to create codes that link to malware, phishing, fraud or illegal content, or that infringe someone else's rights.

Logos, images and brand names you add to a design must be ones you have the right to use. The built-in icon library is provided for decorating your codes; brand icons remain the trademarks of their owners.

Scanning other people's codes

Scanned codes can contain anything. QR Nova shows you what a code contains before you act on it, but we're not responsible for the content of codes made by others. Check links and payment details before you open or use them.

Premium and payments

QR Nova is free with ads. QR Nova Premium removes ads and unlocks HD and 4K exports, all Pro templates and unlimited style presets. It is offered as:

• Monthly and yearly subscriptions, which renew automatically until you cancel.
• Lifetime, a one-time purchase that does not renew.

All purchases are processed by Google Play, and prices are shown in your local currency before you buy. You can cancel a subscription at any time in Google Play > Payments & subscriptions; you keep Premium until the end of the paid period. Refunds follow Google Play's refund policy. Use Restore purchase in the app to unlock Premium on a new device signed in to the same Google account.

Free users can unlock a single HD export, Pro template or extra preset by watching a rewarded ad. These one-off unlocks are not a purchase.

Advertising

The free version displays third-party ads from Google AdMob. We don't control the content of individual ads, and your dealings with advertisers are between you and them.

Acceptable use

You agree not to reverse engineer, decompile, modify or redistribute the app, interfere with its ads or purchase system, or use it in a way that breaks the law.

Intellectual property

The app, its design, render engine, templates and the QR Nova name and logo belong to us. "QR code" is a registered trademark of DENSO WAVE INCORPORATED. Google Play and the Google Play logo are trademarks of Google LLC.

Disclaimer

QR Nova is provided "as is" and "as available". We work hard to make sure codes scan reliably, including the built-in scannability check, but heavy styling, printing quality, size and the scanner used can all affect results. Always test a code with a few different phones before printing it at scale. We don't guarantee the app will be error-free or uninterrupted.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, including lost data, lost profits or reprint costs, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Premium in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be excluded.

Termination

You can stop using QR Nova at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend the licence if you seriously breach these Terms. Sections on intellectual property, disclaimers and liability survive termination.

Changes

We may update these Terms as the app evolves. We'll change the "Last updated" date above, and continued use after an update means you accept the new Terms.
